A seal carver in Suzhou
----- Nikon D80 + Tamron 90mm F2.8. Crop. Selective sharpening to sharpen the seal. Selective noise reduction and blurring of the background to get rid of some noise from the high ISO. ----- For only 25-75RMB (depending on the stone you choose), you can give her your name and she can design a seal and carve it in 15 minutes. My friend got her name done. My dad tried to do his himself a long time ago. He had to design in and flip it on the computer and took forever to carve it * * * * * under the CC license, this photo may be used on other websites as long as: 1. looks brilliant!
Think you could've used a smaller aperture, to get the focus on the whole block and carving tool. I think it would've looked a bit better! But looks awesome still! -- "Bite my shiny metal ass!" Yes, I agree. I originally tried to use a 50mm F1.8 lens but then, as the carver was finishing, decided to switch to the Tamron 90mm F2.8. So I didn't have much time to look back at my shots and my adjustments accordingly -- Jean Fan (roseonthegrey) | Conceptual Photography
