Nikon D80 + 50mm F1.8 + IR remote. Self-portrait. (Tutorial on how to take self-portraits available: [link] ) Fabric hung in the background (DIY backdrops tutorial available: [link] ) Window lighting. Heart drawn on fingers with marker and pen. Lightened midtones in tone editing to brighten the photo. Minor color balancing.

hmm. the first thing i love about this piece is how nicely the background is blurred. :)

[you know, from the thumb, it looks like you're smiling in that asian v-for-victory-strike-a-pose-for-the-camera way. so that confused me a little bit, given the title. :giggle:]
