The smaller waterfall of Lu Mountain ----- Nikon D80 + 18-55mm Nikkor. ND 4x filter to allow for the longer exposure. Crop. Frame. Minor vignetting added in post editing to minimize some uneven lighting in the upper left hand corner. Tone balancing. Decreased red content in color balancing to bring out the green hues. ----- The most scenic views and best photo opportunities in China all have these horrible commercial photo booths in front of them. You can go to these booths, sit in their chair, pose, smile and have them take a picture of you with the waterfall in the background and print it out for like 20RMB. And they won't let you take your own photo from their booth. So you have to climb a lot of rocks to get a clean view of the waterfalls. The angle still isn't as good as the one the booths have but at least it's something. Lu Mountain has 3 waterfalls. One was completely ruined with these stupid booths smack dab in front of it. These booths are seriously ruining the natural beauty of the waterfalls. * * * * * under the CC license, this photo may be used on other websites as long as: 1. That does sound unfortunate. But you're right - it really is the most beautiful place. The water is so clear, and the falls are like a curtain, or streaming white hair.
Once again, I am amazed by how green and vibrant these places look in your photos.

I believe that if someone's creation is not put out in the world without either fervent joy, fierce hope, heartfelt sorrow, or anger at injustice, it is doomed to failure.
It's sad how, in an attempt to enjoy a piece of nature, mankind so often manages to totally ruin it, or at least take away a lot of its charm and magic.
Your photo manages to make it look like nobody's set foot there in a very, very long time though. I'd never have even guessed at the booths had you told us about them.
