Back to using my 50mm F1.8 since this shot was taken indoors where I desperately needed larger aperture due to low lighting conditions. Still had to use ISO 1000 in order to get a fast enough shutter speed to catch the movements of this lionfish. Exp -2.0 due to the dark background of the fish tank, and to help make shutter speed slightly faster. Lots of bubbles everywhere which reflected the typical aquarium lighting resulting in the little bokeh circles. Manual focusing since autofocus would always shine a light that scared the fish. Tone editing to brighten up the image in post editing. Some minor noise reduction due to the high ISO in post editing.

Been awhile since I've done a shot that I'm proud of on a technical level. Plus I gotta break out of the photomanip phase
Visited the National Aquarium in Washington D.C (yes it exists...people are more familiar with the Baltimore one though). Must've taken 50 pics of this little guy Aren't lionfish puurty?
