Artist's Comments

She spied on our lives,
Through the little doll's eyes,
And saw that we weren't happy.

So she lured us away,
With games to play,
And gave all that we asked.

Yet we still wanted more.

So we let her sew the buttons into our eyes.
And she locked us here and ate up our lives.

Nikon D80 + 50mm F1.8 Nikkor + IR remote. Rotate and crop. Color balancing to emphasize the blue hues of my hair. Added transparent yellow layer. Tone balancing to increase contrast.

what to say with this photo? the focus on the hands and button is real nice. most conceptual macros dealing with the human body just usually focuses on one thing and blurs the object near it. i also like the way you color treated this photo, something done- but not too overdone-the button is the classic 4 hole, big ol' thing button. also you were careful on to how your expression was thought to when you clicked the shutter on the camera or the remote. plus the copyright watermark is perfect. hey im here, don't steal me. but the main focus is my deviation, hun. very nice job! :D

beautiful. I kind of wish there was a little bit more detail in the face (only a teensy bit) because when you look at it in large view it seems too washed out. Very clever though :)

If you havent gotten the soundtrack to this movie, it's worth the $9.99. Absolutely wonderful music.
